Jakarta – –
Antonio Conte’s meeting with Inter Milan President Steven Zhang resulted in a change in transfer control. Conte, now in power, wants N’Golo Kante.
Transfer control was one of the main discussions of Conte’s meeting with Zhang on Tuesday (August 25, 2020). Transfer matters are reportedly one of the things that made Conte less satisfied at the Nerazzurri.
Christian Eriksen’s purchase in January is said to have been one of the recruits Conte didn’t really want. Including the rapprochement with Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, where Inter eventually pulled out because Conte wanted a player with different characteristics.
Conte wants a more mature and reliable figure like Arturo Vidal (Barcelona) or Tanguy Ndombele (Tottenham Hotspur). The latest news now says that Conte has also added the name of Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante to their list of goals.
Conte is no stranger to Kante. He became the character that Kante brought to Chelsea in 2016 while he was still a manager there.
Inter’s chances of getting edge are pretty good considering the 29-year-old is no longer Frank Lampard’s priority at Chelsea. In the 2019/2020 season, the French international only appeared 28 times in all competitions.
That’s the number of times Edge has appeared in the lowest season with Chelsea. He played 41 times in his first season in 2016/2017, then 48 times the following year and 53 times in the third season.
In order to sign it, Inter is expected to have to offer around 50 million euros. To ease the carry over load, Inter will likely offer a loan proposal with a mandatory repayment clause or a permanent termination option at the end of the season.
