Bayern won’t join Messi

Jakarta – –

Lionel Messi reportedly wanted to leave Barcelona and started dating a number of clubs. However, Bayern Munich will not be involved in the hunt.

Messi reportedly wanted to leave Barcelona recently. The Argentine star wants his contract, which expires in 2021, to be terminated early so that he can leave this summer.

However, Barcelona still want to keep Messi. Even if they have to let Messi go, Barcelona want the player’s buy-out clause valued at € 700m to be honored.

However, the high value of Messi’s buy-out clause did not dampen rumors that interested him from a number of major European clubs. Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan are said to be interested in the owner of the six Ballon d’Or.

The high value of the buyout clause is not the only challenge for Messi-interested clubs. The 33 year old gamer also has an exorbitant fee. Messi is the most expensive paid player in the world, namely 99.6 million euros per year or around 1.73 trillion rupees.

FC Bayern could be an alternative destination for Messi if he still has big ambitions in Europe. However, Bayern have no desire to catch Messi.

Bayern boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said his club didn’t have a lot of resources to make a big transfer through players like Messi.

“No,” replied Rummenigge Tuttosport when asked if Bayern would follow Messi.

“We can’t pay for a player of this caliber. It’s not part of our policy and philosophy,” Rummenigge continued.

“To be honest, it makes me a little sad to hear that Messi might leave Barcelona. Leo made the history of the club and I think he should end his career at Blaugrana.”

“There are internal and personal aspects that I am not aware of and so I will not interfere,” he added.
